UK Retailers Listing

all the 1z polishes have gone up from £6.99 to £9.99 with out prior warning thats a 30% increase! some of the pro line by 50-60%, being the sole UK Importer he can adjust his prices to what ever he likes with no competition. I love 1Z but I think there are a few libertys being taken especially to his older customers puting your prices up by a 30% in a day, 1z can be bought around europe with no Import tax, pity as his shipping/ service was always good!

Can i just ask, for those who know, you mention import duty, why is Kasse so much more expensive in the UK than in the US, seeing as it comes from within the EU.

I know Klasse is made in Germany but the product is marketed only in the US and distibuted via the US. In Europe buy the equivalent Carlack68 & save some money, I guess is the answer.

Save what money?

Cheapest i`ve found it in the UK is £18.25, or about $33.

Ranney does it for $34.95, before discount.

Both for 1 litre, and both before shipping costs, i dont think there would be that much difference in P&P charges

Carlack68 for 1 litre is £15.53 plus a small P&P charge, you will find that sending a 1 litre can from the US is probably well over $20 which is going to be over £30 against about £20 carriage inclusive.

I think the £15.53 is before VAT, if we`re looking at the same site. When you say small charge, how much?

I got 500ml of Klasse twins i.e. 1 litre, plus wheel wax, plus some MFs and some applicators from Ranney and the whole lot only came to $23 for shipping, so 1 litre of anything isn`t going to be `well over $20`.

BTW, if you have found it for £15.53 inc VAT, could you please let me know where from?

Thing is Chris - Carlack is £15, £18 or whatever and that's it - you've probably spent twice that on other products so it ain't really "cheaper" at all.

I found that by kidding myself that buying from Autopia or wherever else abroad was cheaper, I was forgetting that I was buying a bunch more stuff too. I'm now stocked up with Sonus pads, autofiber MF's and Sonus polishes and that's me done for the next few months.

Plus I've damaged my back badly enough to be unable to even get into and drive a car, let alone try using the PC so little point in ordering much else for the next few weeks at least.

:(

Dont get me wrong, i am not bulking up my order to try and make it worthwhile. Everything i`ve ordered, i`ve needed, and sorry if my last post sounded a little abrupt, it wasn`t meant to.

At the end of the day i`m just trying to get the best VFM, aren`t we all i suppose :)

BTW, hope you`re not out of action too long

:( Oh no Andy... you have my sympathy!

I've probably mentioned it before, but this time last year I suffered a herniated disc at the base of my spine, couldn't even walk at some periods last year! I've only just recently been able to do a full days detailing again and I'm still not fully recovered (don't really know if I ever will be).

A few pieces of my advice/findings for you... back problems and detailing don't mix! When you think you've recovered, don't be in any rush to start the detailing again... I learnt the hard way and it wasn't pleasant. Plus, going to see a doctor is virtually worthless unless you're just after some pain killers. Do yourself a favour and go see a private specialist if things don't improve after a couple of weeks. I can give you the number of my specialist in Bristol if you need it (and if you're a BUPA member, it won't cost you anything!).

I hope it doesn't turn out to be too serious. :up

Sorry for going off topic everyone! :o

That must be very frustrating at the best of times, never mind just at the beginning of "detailing season" :wall Get well soon!

As an aside, I have added a link to this thread to my sig so that other new UK'ers may find it more easily now it is no longer a Sticky, don't know if anyone else wants to join in?

Excellent idea :up

But for those of us with low technical knowledge, how do I insert the thread details?

Andy, very sorry to hear about your back. I hurt mine a few years ago and had to get a taxi to work every day - very expensive. My consultant said the best thing for most backs is very very gentle exercise everyday.

Thanks gents - very kind words indeed.

It's marginally better than Friday although TBH I think I may be trying to convince myself I'm better enough to get some detailing in. I tried bending over the car Friday pm and the pain was nearly enough to make me throw up so shelved that plan for the moment!

I've found a local BUPA registered osteopath and so far it's only cost me £45 so fingers crossed.

Plus my boss has said he'll look into changing my car as it could be that which is contributing to the problems.

Just want to get back to normal as daytime TV really, really sucks.
