UK Retailers Listing

I guess that someone should be volunteering to test the oasis (hastily steps backwards), though I didn't like the warning about not letting it dry on the paint :)

I have some Oasis - I bought some pads and a 5 litre bottle of Nielsen Flair treatment for £10ish from Smarter World plus when the courier cocked up, the main man delivered it himself and left me an Oasis sample so thumbs up this far.

Review on Neilsen to follow and Oasis - well, I'm not a fan of waterless washes at all - if it's too wet to wash the cars stay dirty at my house:D However in tru autopian spirit I'll give it a whirl and review etc shortly.

did anyone notice on that smarter world site that they are selling the cheap rotary?

And anyone have any opinions on nielson products, notice they sell them dirt cheap.

Just noticed thepolishingcompany are selling PC7424 in a kit as follows:

Random orbital Polisher for the ultimate Shine. Safe for the non professional user.

Includes 110v transformer, extn cable, plug, 2 Sonus polish pads and 5" backing plate

Presumably just the green and blue sonus pads. Might be useful if you're the impatient kind. Me, I was happy waiting a few days and paying less right here.

I am still unsure about any UK retailer selling electrical equipment without the CE certification - but I am not an expert in the CE regs

I showed my PC to an electrician friend who suggested that it might not be suitable for UK regs because it didn't have an auto-cut-out feature on the power switch.

Previous to that, I thought it might have been that it was double-insulated - hence no way to use an RCD to protect yourself from electric shock.

Anyways, back to thepolishingcompany. They do the 200gm bar of Claymagic which could be handy, but £24 seems a bit steep (+6 quid postage)...

Doh - just found out from a mate that he can supply his co's version of Virosol for a LOT less as they supply janitorial products to the co who supply the co who sell it on line if that makes sense.

He's emailing me a list of MPC/degreasing products shortly and I will be testing!

Was just about to grab some 1Z bits from www.erazer.co.uk, anyone noticed all the prices have gone up by a £1 per product in the last few weeks? Some bits seemed quite good value when they where the same sort off price as the AG equivilent products and prices not sure now.

try www.olympiccleaning.com for Viro-Sol as it's only about £3+ per gallon

guys, if you want to order from olympiccleaning, email them 1st. I asked for a quote for 25 litres of activ f and 10 litres of virosol, and the p&p was £24 &vat!

all the 1z polishes have gone up from £6.99 to £9.99 with out prior warning thats a 30% increase! some of the pro line by 50-60%, being the sole UK Importer he can adjust his prices to what ever he likes with no competition. I love 1Z but I think there are a few libertys being taken especially to his older customers puting your prices up by a 30% in a day, 1z can be bought around europe with no Import tax, pity as his shipping/ service was always good!

If any of you are member of Costco they sell Simoniz Max Wax car shampoo for £3.86 inc. VAT for 5 litres. I've used it a couple of times now and I'm impressed. Pretty slick and the suds last forever. Smells of lemon if that's important to you.

The prices where what almost made it worth using over AG bits and bobs, back to the trade Autoglym supplies then!
