Turtle Wax Tire Wax

This stuff was on sale at Target, so I thought I would try it out. It looks like hand lotion, smells like cherries and is easy to apply to the EO tire applicator. It is very similar to the VW interior and exterior protectant that is made by Eagle One.I buffed it off after 5 minutes. It is much glossier than 303, my current favorite for tires, I will report back how it holds up. For $3.40 for 16 ounces, I had to try it out. Plus, it has UV inhibitors:)

:down I tried it and hated it..I gave it away to someone..It didnt go on evenly for me and when it dried it looked all blotchy..I am using EO Satin now and my tires look excellent:up

Hmmm,

After 2 nice sunny days, the tires look really good. The tire wax has a higher gloss than 303, more of a waxed look. I'll see how the tires look after one week. I had no problem with blotchiness at all. So far, I don't see why the product was discontinued, it's a lot better that Meguiars Endurance which is way too gooey and sticky and EO Wet Tire Shine which is way too oily and slimey. Like I said in the original post, for the price, I had to give it a try.

After 6 days, the Turtle Wax Tire Wax is almost gone, not much shine left. I prefer 303, it definitely lasts longer on my tires. Oh well, could be the reason Tire Wax was discontinued...

I like Meguiar's Endurance - it's available in both high sheen and matte finish. It's very durable (it claims to last for weeks, and thus far, I see their claims holding up).

Some people here have reported problems with it - but if you apply with a sponge applicator, sparingly, and wipe off excess product, you get a very good, durable finish. Now the question I have - is there any UV protection in the Endurance product?

I have to agree about the McGuairs Endurance. It is very gooey and I noticed it did sling on car even after letting it dry. I recently got a bottle of EO Wet Tire Shine and its really good. Its up there with Stoner MSLT.

yup. As far as I've seen it does have UV protection.

For some reason, and I dont know if anyone else has seen this, but the 'high gloss' endurance seems to not last as long or work as well as the matte stuff...... doesnt seem to apply as well either...... maybe its just me? :nixweiss
