Never underestimate the law of self-preservation. One side was voting for supposed morals and an ideal world while the other was voting because they were on the precipice of extinction (Jobs, Blue collar). One had to vote, the other did so at their leisure.

That response is from someone who isn`t left at all. Calling the past 8 years fascism, regardless of how anti-Obama you are, is completely asinine. It`s a gross misrepresentation of the word. I will roll my eyes any time anyone over exaggerates a situation.

Heh heh, I wouldn`t have said "asinine", but otherwise I agree with that completely, and I too am awfully right-of-center by anybody`s estimation.

I`ve been around enough people who have *lived* under Fascism to be circumspect about tossing the word around. Most folks today simply can`t imagine...

I wouldn`t call him the F word, however, I would gladly use the term egotistical and at times arrogant. He has had complete disdain for solutions that go against his own, even when his are blatantly failing.

Obamacare is a monument to his arrogance; they knew it was going to fail and yet pushed it through. Knowingly driving through a policy which negatively affects people you supposedly represent for any reason is unacceptable.

I agree. Although I haven`t lived through it. This certainly is no Fascist state.
 
The liberals are absolutely losing it right now. My mother is a self proclaimed bleeding heart, and begged me not to vote. Wonder when it`ll be safe to call home.

The whole bleeding heart is a myth or just lacking foresight IMO. It`s penny wise pound foolish. Ask her, would you rather have one person suffer or make a whole class, that is what seems to be the consensus these days from the left.

When it comes down to it, the left is not about morals, merely the appearance. I will gladly counter ANY and ALL arguments made by the left and beat them over the head with the very moralistic views they claim to represent.

Subjects like this can get dicey... One of the reasons why I didn`t even read this thread until after the election. I wouldn`t stress out about it.
