Trim/Platic Restoration Products

I have tried black wow and don't like the way it runs onto your paint if you over apply it. It makes quite a mess.

Have you tried removing the excess with MF and water? I think that this is the trick.

Wow..thanks for all of this feedback guys!

Well, seeing the above review on BW wearing off after a month isnt terriibly appealing (the car wont be garaged...and id rather it last as long as possible). Can anyone speak to the durability of the Ultima for a car that sits outside 24/7? More than 1+ month?

Mine would be in slightly better shape than yours, especially after hitting them with the GR-40. Im hoping I come to a conclusion sometime today so I can order before 5pm. :dance

Forever Black is something of a no-no as far as Im concerned. I have seen reports/pictures of it going on looking awesome only to chip off/ fade badly a few months later.

I took a license plate bracket (black textured plastic) that was faded, rubbed it with my left over ultima on the applicator and it restored it and had a better than new appearance.

I put it on my deck (against my wife's wishes) to see how it holds up. still looks good IMO. no real hint of wear. here is a picture. the white is snow. half of the bracket is ultima, other half is the way it was (faded)

oh yeah that has been since December something, and I just took the picture now after brushing that thing off a little

Wow...thats pretty awesome! I could get a discount on BW...but those results speak for themselves.

Well, As an update, I ordered my Ultima on Tuesday and received it this afternoon. I couldnt help myself from trying it out. So I did the following:

1) Taped off the mouldings (to protect the paint)

2) Cleaned all trim thoroughly with GR-40

3) Applied the Ultima TTS

So far, it looks GREAT. Ill have to update this again after the 1st wash with how its standing up to abuse.
