Can You Hear Me

Okay. So from my previous thread you guys know that I stepped up to a rotary. Today I detailed my dads black e46 330i. I busted out the rotary with high hopes to demolish all the terrible swirls that my dads car had. I went with the least aggresve polish that I had in my arsenal (p21S and CG pro polish) Put a moderate amount of product on the hood and began to work it in. Not as hard as it seems! As long as I kept the machine flat to the surface (can be hard on hoods that have big creases or raised sections) it didnt really jump around much if you keep it around 1000-1500 rpms and just let it glide back and fourth always moving it. But when I put the light down onto the paint and wiped away the product the swirls seemed to remain :nixweiss So I stepped up to 3M Extra Cut. I sprayed my purple wool pad with pad conditioner and put some product on the hood again. Began to work product in untill it wore away to a fine dust. Wiped product off to see that the swirls STILL remained :hairpull . I am FOR SURE a novice at rotary and still have much to learn but I am kinda confused as to whats going on. I didn't burn the CC or anything so I dont think i was going too harsh? But it defantly seemed that it would have enough cut. Also the 3m seemed to leave some swirls behind as the machine worked in. Please help me :sadwavey: Sorry for the long sob story. I have searched for a good varaity of polishes to have for a rotary but havent found much. I am on autogeek right now trying to stock up for next weekend. I am hearing all the rant and rave about m105. Is this a bad idea for a rotary novice to use? I plan on using on a friends beater that he would care less if i burned through before I use on a customers car or my own though.
