Tried Griots Garage Products

I agree. Especially when the costs , the ease of use, and the durability of said product are matched by other companies at a smaller cost. I don't know a whole lot about Griot's products, but with the advent of ecommerce, maybe they should look at their marketing efforts and make some money-saving changes. I would imagine passing on savings to the consumer would gain much more customer respect than a monthly catalog.

:yeah
Most companies ask you for an email and will email you monthly specials and promotions.
Much more cost effective... considering the amount of "junk mail" received at a house, many one time buyers won't even look at it and just toss it.
I still get catalogs for the person that lived in the house before me, and I've had my house for over 4 years!!
A real waste of money

JMHO

I have tried a lot of Griots products. There are many professional products that are available that outperform Griots products and are much cheaper. For example HI-Temp Products, great stuff at very cheap prices.

Well, I just tried their BOS and it is a PITA to remove.

Regarding thier business model, if they've had steady profitable growth, why would the change thier business model to an electronic medium.

There is a preceived "hold in your hand" value of a catalog that cannot be easily replaced by electronic means. It's human nature.

Regarding growth...For example, Wal-Mart had steady profitable growth for years. But when they had an opportunity to expand into a new and profitable area, they did so (with their online shopping/catalog), as have most other companies. Why would you not expand into a continually growing niche (ecommerce)? Doesn't make business sense to me. :dunno But then again, that's just my opinion.

I see your point on this, but persoanlly feel that catalogs are just not as effective in today's market as the internet. To each his own. I would just rather a company use a more cost efficient means of showing me their product and passing the savings on to me in the form of lower cost.

As far as the BOS wax...how do you like the looks of it? I would like to try it, but almost all the posts I have read on it say it's a bear to remove. Just want to know if it's worth all the extra work considering I have stuff that looks great already and is very easy to work with.

Yes, it is a PITA to remove but it does give a very nice shine, no hazing, glare lines etc. I am currently comparing BOS, P21S, Natty and Liquid Souveran. They all went one well and looked great rigth after removal, Nayy's seemed to take a little drying time for some glare lines to go away but I my have applied it too thick, P21S was very nice as well as Souveran. Waiting to see which one hardens better and resists hazing and scratch marks in a few days.

I will never use BOS wax ever again.......No matter what I did it was really hard to remove. With all the waxes out there why do I have to break my balls removing this wax.I can use SOUVERN TS ADAMS STUFF COLLINITE #16 CMW and get the same or better finish
