Treat your client like crap, offer poor service and get paid anyway!

Joe:

Read Advertising for Dummies. It contains information for the legal obligations you have when you commission a web designer or artist to work on something for you. The guy you worked with may have had a certain type of contract in mind when dealing with you, which may not have been properly communicated.

Sorry to hear about that. Getting sued must have been frustating as hell.

If you want to e-mail it to me I'll post it, kevin@gtaindetail.com .

I'm not suggesting you go on a mission to discredit this guy; but if I were in a similar situation I have to admit I would probably be pretty vocal about my displeasure. Industries like his (and ours) are not only about the quality of work done but customer service. To me $800 would not be worth the negative "press".

I sent you the file. Thanks

I am griping about what happen but I havn't said who he is. I think I am safe from getting

sued again.

I am posting what happen because we all use (or will use) simiular types of services for our auto detailing businesses. So please learn from what happen to me and WHATCH OUT!

Here is the postcard with contact info removed.

a little off topic....

just curious Joe, but just how much stuff do you have in both the van and the trailer....I see most with a cargo van and thats it, or a truck with a trailer....but you have both....how much do you need/have, or is it for the ad space?

Wait i thought you changed logo's.... So he found your old logo's and used them? It's kind of bland, Somthing i would expect from every mailer card i get in the mail.

so in that instance yeah i would not be happy with it either.

Thanks a gazillion for posting that old card!!!!!!!!!!!! :getdown

Keep in mind I went through allot of hassle to get the card to where you see it there!!

I was pretty much fed up by then.

Here is the card I went with. Getting this card done was a smooth transaction and I love it.

Please tell me your opinion of each card, which do you like better and why, mustang card or MBZ??? THANKS

The trailer has everything the van has (except extrator) but on a larger scale.

We use the trailer for large jobs (trucks, aircraft, high number of cars at one location.....)

I never use the two together. I pulL the trailer with my f250.

THE VAN AND THE TRAILER MAKE A COOL PIC THOUGH!

The new one is 100% better than the old one. Way more visual impact; way better logo, instantly conveys what you do and that it is "high end" detailing (rather than express/bulk). I am not a huge fan of the wording (love her as if she were mine) either, but I understand the message it is meant to get across. Definitely better.

Yeah, what he said.

miles better! if i may add my two pence in here, regarding the front of the card, i would have put the logo on top of everything else. either the top left corner with the slogan underneath, or the bottom right corner and moved the car slightly to the left. this to me, gives a more impact on who the detailing company is.

as for the back perhaps if you justified the text so its all uniform :)

And here is half of the back. The othe rhalf is reserved for address and stamp.

The new one is very appealing visually but the slogan on the front seems a little cheesy to me. I would also suggest less wording on the back as usually people aren't interested in reading a bunch of words. I think simple and to the point works much better. I would just go with everything starting at "with over 18 years...." and below with the logo on top. How big are the cards?
