Gloss Coat it. The most important part of vehicle maintenace is PROPER WASHING. Coat it and use the extra time you save by being extra careful in your proper wash method.

Gonna be doing spot-correction?
That's perhaps the primary reason why I don't use coatings on anything except wheels.
And leaving looks aside, for a vehicle that's used ~2K a year (sounds like some of mine) how hard is it to put on a coat or two of LSP annually?
Protection will be situation-specific (some need more/less) and, well...I said we'd leave looks aside, but the (conventional) LSPs that give the best protection IME don't have the looks that some are after.
Prep matte stripes with clay? I wouldn't think that's a good idea and I'm all about *VERY* gentle claying. But then I've never tried it, either...
Clayed [the matte black] already, no issues or problems.
Do you have a nice pic of your GT500? I want to post your question on the Autopia Facebook page as a poll and see what everyone on Facebook thinks.
Heavily leaning towards OGC and since it can be topped, topping with WG 2.0 before shows. Just curious about how OGC will look on matte black stripes, what's the best way to prep them besides clay? Will a light wipe with a MF towel buff down a high spot on matte black stripes?
Howdy Rashan. Long time no hear from
Hey hey!
Been a long time, but I'm back for nowIt's good to see so many familiar faces... err usernames

Do what you want, but you'll grow tired of just washing your car. Its not enough alone time to satisfy
How long does it take you to wash your car and get it looking like you like it?
The less "rubbing" on the paint, the better the chances to mimimalize marring. Plus the looks of Gloss Coat are just as good as any other LSP. Win/Win
coat that paint please and save the CC. like other have said better protection and if by chance you get some marring or swirls the coating is your sacrificial layer.
