Tips for a FK1000P newbie?

It does not bond well to RMG........lol

I tired it out and there is a "greasey" film after the paint warms in the sun.

Cheers,

GREG

Whats even better is these products are very inexpensive, as the wax market seems to be going high $$$$$$$$

I just had a little 2oz sample tin, but then i saw one of the full size tins and realised it is HUGE - checked the stats and its 15oz vs 9oz for a tin of 476 for the same price :grinno:

I have some boutique stuff from Zymol and Swissvax but more and more am finding there are some uperb products, like this, that just make those expensive purchases look like a total waste of cash....will be interesting to see how the look lasts on this stuff over the coming weeks and months :D

I'm honestly wondering whether my recent investment in lot of $ of Zaino stuff was really a good idea after all? Maybe I should have got this and some 425 and be $100 better off :hairpull I have multiple layers of Z-2 and Z-CS on test directly against FK1000 for the winter, so we'll see....

I used FK high temp 1000and their sealant on my wifes car last year . Did a double coat one week apart and it held up thur the winter here in the states, it was still beading after 4 car washes by machine i put it on in late october early nov, in march it was still beading pretty well.

Yeah, the tins are BIG for the money. I wouldn't worry about the $$$$$ invested in Zaino, you will use it up sooner or later.

i plan on ordering a tin as well as the sample pack. The audi looks great!! All there products look good, i dont know why i dont see them used more often.? I want to try the 2180 as well because i've heard its a great sealant as well. Wonder how the 1000p works over the 2180 or the 215 aio. The site suggests using pink wax over 2180 but what about 1000p?

Some of my product info from FK advocates using the FK1000P over their products of that type...I especially remember them mentioning the 2180, forget which others were also mentioned. You might call and ask, Tory is a very friendly and helpful guy.

2180 topped with 1000 is their most durable combo.

I haven't tried 2180 (that and PW are the two FK products that I want to try next), but I hear that it is somewhat difficult to work with (removal). Is that true?

Rob, PW is a nice product as well. the three staples FK1 has IMO are the 1000p, PW and FK425...

So, would you guys do:

1. 2180 -> 1000P -> PW and 425 as QD or every other wash or

2. 1000P -> PW and 425 as QD or every other wash or

3. 2180 -> PW

I'm lost, seems like endless choices.
