Thoughts on LSP following Presta workout

Here is the vette getting out of the polishing stage and getting ready for a bath to remove every piece or grit and dust. I know some say it's a waste of time washing after polishing, but I find it is the best way to remove everything from cracks, jambs, and to make sure nothing gets in my way of sealing it. I removed the marring and scratchs and it is gonna stay that way. Here is a couple of pics of it covered in dust. I used Presta and Menzerna and it came out flawless. Looks 100 times better in person!

Hey Tom. Ooops I forgot to add which Presta products I used. Normally I do not use the UCC, but the previous owner spent $600 to have it wetsanded and buffed by a body shop and after a wash all the sand scratches came back so I got a call to do it right. I had to remove the heavy sand mark scratches. Funny the body shop said it would never come out. I can't wait to go show him this now! I'll bring him some sunglasses.

Ultra cuttting creme Regular-yellow wool edge 1800rpm

1500 polish-yellow edge wool 1800

106ff- polish foam pad- 1100 rpm

The UCC did an amazing job on this super rock hard clear. I would have recommended the ucc but it is some harsh stuff and if not careful you could go through the clear and I do not reccomend it unless one is a rotory pro.

Ryan..that looks great..nice polish job....I too wash after a polishing...gets all the dust and splatter off ..plus any residue the polish may leave....I use my NXT wash since its so harsh..and I mix a stronger mix to make it very slick and strong...cleans up nice...

Nice looking paint...

Will the double sided presta wool pads work with my non presta adapter? My adapter is the regular edge adapter.

There is only one adaptor. Edge makes them only. Edge also makes the system for Presta which uses the same edge 2000 adaptor.

You can even custom order your pads too. Foam on one side and wool on the other. The custom system looks good, but my only concern is compound dust getting on the other side. I just don't like contamination and dust getting on my finish foam.

Ryan, does the adapter I purchased and am using on the Makita fit the Porter-Cable, too ??? I thought the PC had a non-standard thread config.

Thanks.

Nice! I still think the black Pontiac is one of the most dramatic recoveries I've seen yet !

Thanks Tom! Yes that was quite the transformation I did on that one. This Vette I did was bad too and had deeper scratches. After I was done the owner went over it for an hour and was happy. He is the most an@l person when it comes to perfection and I think he will be super impressed when he sees it outside. I can't wait to get outside pics of it all complete. In person it looks like an exotic show car finish. When the rain stops I will take a bunch of pics and do a click and brag.

It does not fit the pc. The pc has a different adaptor.

what presta product and pad would be good on a fairly new car with light dealer installed swirls (toyota paint)

You might get away with just blue wool + #1500 polish. I guess you cannot use the adapter with the single sided pads which is sort of a benefit 'cause the adapter is around $18 and it can't be used with the PC. The single sided wool pads (designation WS :) ) are traditional hook 'n' loop.
