I was using Megs GC on this final wash. I was washing and rinsing a panel / section at a time. I am fairly confident in my situation as the top half of the truck (above the belt line) was beading and releasing water quite well. I am not arguing that BFWD looks great. So far I am simply disappointed in the durability of it. I was hoping to use it on my truck through the winter as is doesn’t get driven often and when it is it is mostly in town.
Shade Pics:
Sun Pic: I went ahead and pulled it out into the sun for a better pic.
Any help would be great. I applied a coat a week over 4 weeks in which I did drive the truck at all. Simply a good re-wash to get the dust off and then another coat of BFWD.
I've had Gold Class temporarily hault the beading on several cars only to have it come back right away in the rain. I'm 99 percent sure you are running into a soap-film problem. Wash the bottom panel with dawn and see if the beading comes back. (Rinse right away)
I'll try that Todd. But is still doesn't explain why the top half of the truck looked great and was beading after the same wash. (Everything above the belt line. So this was vertical and horizontal surfaces.)
I'll report back after re-washing....
October fools!!!!!
Sorry that I got everyone pumped up, I didn't think everyone would believe me.:lol2:
