thinking of switching from #26 to collinite waxes

Hey I thought collinite 476s was supposed to be hard to buff out. But I tried some on the weekend and it came off really easy, I can't imagine it coming off any easier. Did I not apply it correctly or does s100 just blow off since it's supposed to be a lot easier to remove than 476s?

I applied a thin coat with a damp applicator and let it dry a few minutes, and it came off very easily. As a test, I waxed the trunk only again, but this time let it sit for almost 30 minutes as I worked on the rest of the car, came back and it still came off really easily. Did I not put enough on or something? It didn't streak or anything, it was simple. Maybe next time I'll try waxing the whole car and then start removing it.

bcwang- As you've discovered, the 476S' difficulty level is commonly over-stated, ESPECIALLY if you prep the car well first. I too find it easy to use. If you do the whole car before removing, you'll probably find it a BIT harder to buff off. Not that you'll have to re-apply for quite a while now anyhow :D

AGREED! It IS over stated as being difficult to work with. Compared to S100 it doesn't come off as easy, but when you consider it lasts 4 times as long the slight effort is well worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't do the whole car or even half because you will find it some what of a workout at that point. But do a panel/section at a time and there are no problems with 476s.

I don't know that I would make a habit of waiting 30 minutes before removing, but that is just me.
