thinking of switching from #26 to collinite waxes

well guys, i just started my new job at a marina. I get paid pretty good, and we are using the colinitte fleet wax(non abrasive). I must say, its pretty easy to use, and ive been thinking about getting rid of my meguiars #26 and getting some of the collinite d elegance or doublecoat. I already have bf2, klasse aio, and sg for synthetics, but i want something that i can detail my familys cars with fast and easy that lasts long. how would your rate collinite compared to say p21s/s100?
 
Oh my God, it blows away #26 and will last 50 times longer than P21s.



Hands down the best wax for a non garaged car where you are looking for a wax that will last and last and last even through automatic car washes (should you have to use one).



It's a wonderful product. I use it on white so I can't really comment on its depth, shine etc... except to say the paint looks real nice to me. I'm not too concerned with the look for my non garaged commuter, just protection. You can't beat it for that.



Use a P21s topper and she'll look sweet!



Collinite is hard to find. They make a real nice product especially for fleet vehicles.

#930 Jet Craft Wax

hmm i looked at that and i see increases speed and reduces fuel costs how does it do that by reduceing wind friction water friction ??? or is it just a joke ?
 
i like mine, blows all the skis off of this lake on lake st clair, have 103 hrs on it, very happy(eventually ill mod once warranty is up). I have no clue what that jet craft wax does, probably just like the other collinite waxes, but hey, only way youll know is if you try. The #885 fleetwax is very easy to use, and its nonabrasive, so use a cleaner/polish first.
 
al probley just AIO and then S100 my GPR when i get it that should last a while when you dont ride in the ocean
 
If any of you are interested in the Collinite de Elegance I have some that I have only used twice that I would be willing to swap out or sell ....just any kind of reasonable trade or offer. I also have way too much DACP and would trade some of it as well.
 
Hey Abercrombie it's too bad you haven't used P21S/S100 also. The last time I read a can of Fleetwax it said to simply apply and buff off right away I think, just like P21S/S100 right? Do you find it "easy"?

I wrote a summary of #476 in the Review Section. I have now had the chance to use S100 for the last two months and it is much, much easier to work with than the Collinite. Now, I must admitt that when I used#476--the weather was in the low 40's and breezy--probably not the best time to apply it.



I hope to give it a second try soon. I do think it is very durable. I put it over Meguiars #20 polymer sealant and it made it through the winter without any troubles.

Keep this in mind, so that you don't buy the same Collinite product twice:



476s = 885 Fleetwax (paste)

845 = 925 = 930 (Liquid)

920 = 840 (neither cleaner is clear coat safe)



I am an avid user of Collinite (and now reseller :cool: ), and after some conversations with Mike at Collinite they cross-pollinate, if you will, the car and marine waxes. I think an aroma is added to maybe the 930. I haven't tried the 930 yet.



Same stuff different bottles/cans/Labels. Since you have access to the 885 Fleetwax (476s) you can use that on your car. If you bought the Gurureports you will see how the collinite 476 ranked ;) .



By the way Paste Fleetwax BLOWS away liquid fleetwax. No comparison.



Boat Exposure Test . This page shows how Paste was rated Excellent and Liquid came out Fair. I agree with the results of the two.
 
anyone know which is more durable, 476 or 915? On Collinite's own website both are mentioned as being the longest lasting wax available. Oh, too confusing.

The 476 is the most durable. In fact, I just bought some more online last night that was on sale!



This stuff rocks as far as protection and longevity is concerned.
 
The distributor who I bought my #476 from said it was more durable than #915--he's been using #476 for the past three years and tried both extensively.
 
cool, that's good to know. Wonder why the #915 costs more, it is 33% bigger but costs 66% more. Maybe better shine.
