The Truth..

In the last few years I have abandoned that teaching and I now see that all of Jesus words concerning His second coming have already taken place. I do not see any "rapture" coming for the timeline (as well as Jesus words) has to be grossly distorted to make it fit a later future event. There will be no "mark of the beast", no new world order.

Anthony, I'm saddened that you've abandoned that teaching. Even though we don't agree, I pray that the Lord will make Himself known to you. Get in the Word my friend, it's all there. Seek the Lord.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Matthew 7:7

"Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth." John 17:17

Dave, I didn't abandon anything.....I only stated these things to demonstrate to Flawless that when someone makes a case for something then they need to provide more than conjecture, rumor and their subjective opinions as evidence. Flawless posted up conspiracy theories that may or may not be valid but my point is that he failed to engage in an intelligent manner when his "facts" were questioned.

If we take the Bible for instance it can be made to say just about anything through out of context quotes and conjecture. Likewise if I take enough government "cover ups" and mix in some urban myths I can spin a tale that would make Sculley and Mulder squirm in their pants yet there is not much there if pressed.

I apologize for the diversion.....just needed to get a point across. Again I am not of the hyper-preterist view, perhaps of the partial preterist view (preterism is the view that prophecy has already come to pass) and I also hold to a pressupositional apologetic and lean towards Calvinism.....I did though abandon Armeneism.

I love tossing out oddball questions just to ponder.... But why are humans the only creatures on the entire planet that beleive in religion? Woulnd't one think if "God" created everything that at least one other animal/creature of some sort would acknowledge that? Just curious

Interesting question.

First, "religion" is more of a man made pompous outward show of how righteous or holy man can be.

Religion can also be seen as a "belief" in something that one holds to with a great deal of faith so it may then be argued that even atheists are "religious" in their belief that there is no God.

While a fun question it is not thought out fully for it may be that animals do in fact recognize God yet how would we know? It may well be that all creatures know their Creator but again this can't be proven. Animals though play a great role in Gods plan and He has used them in many ways to convey or illustrate a message.
