stupid question...can it be used on top of a waxed surface?

Now that is a great question. I guess somebody will have to try that ! I would imagine that some people will get dogmatic about product or, system disciple...... but I am curius and sooner or later I will most likely try and find out.:nixweiss

WOW, looks like I will just have to order some of that along with everything else i have ordered tonight

I ordered two bottles earlier today and got curious about how much spray each would contain..... The Z site did not give an Ounce volume, but a weight of 1.26 lbs, which should be 20.+ Oz.

Given that it is surely more viscuous than water, the volume must be about 16 FlOz. Has anyone seen anything which indicates the volume of a bottle. Just rampant curiosity on my part. I cant wait to try the stuff !:bounce :bounce :bounce

Corrected my typo's Hoo Boy !

I too ordered 2 bottles of the stuff since I was already paying the 8.95 for shipping anyways. This will be my first Zaino experience and I can't wait to add the Z-8 to the mix!

Not a stupid question at all, I have tried it on wax and it works very well. The stuff speads very easy and leaves a slick surface on anything you put it on. I'm sure Zaino made it for their polishes, but it is very versatile.

I wonder if it can be used as a stand alone product. Waxes usually only last a few weeks to a month depending on outside condtions. So did anyone in beta testing only use Z8 by itself?

Would be interesting to see if durability is compromised without the addition of Z2, ect.

Z8 :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Warning: Use of Z-8 Grand Finaleâ„¢ Spray Seal may cause you to attract more attention than you ever did before. As a result, it may take you longer to fuel-up your vehicle, run through the drive through, or pass the keys to the valet. Everyone will want to know what you're using on your car, and how you maintain that show car shine. Don't say we didn't warn you....

Sal :bow

I'd be interested to see how this looks over WG personally - but after my poor Z16 experience I'm kinda cynical.

I'll see what the UK importer's charging for this

Yeah, I'd be curious about the durability of this product itself. Has anyone done anything like apply AIO, spray Z8 layers and top with wax? If so, how did it work out and look? I'm suspecting the addition of wax,if possible, would do little, if anything, to enhance the already very wax-like look of Z8, but maybe I'm totally off mark :nixweiss

No IMO and I beta tested the evolution of this product. At no point did I consider using Z8 alone. This item (Z8) is a component of the Zaino protectant system. It is not marketed as a stand alone sealant.

As a topper for a carnuaba, also not tested, I do not think besides an appearance change would Z8 augement the longevity of ones's protection. This product is made to bond to Zaino polishes (sealants).

From Zaino website:

Z-8 Grand Finaleâ„¢ Spray Seal:

Leaves a high gloss, high shine, deep, rich, wet finish thanks to advanced optical-clarifying polymers

Leaves an ultra-slick finish that repels dust, dirt, environmental fallout and other stains

Locks in the improved looks and protection for weeks - not days

Contains anti-UV agents to protect your vehicle's finish against damaging sun rays

Is easy to use: wipe on, wipe off

Is intended for special occasions and events only; it is not a Z-6 replacement

Should be used in conjunction with the Zaino Show Car Polish System, including Z-2 PRO, Z-3 or Z-5

:wavey

So why is it intended for special occassions and events only? Is this the marketing slant because of the cost? Is there a negative other than cost for using it say weekly?

"Is this the marketing slant because of the cost?"

I think that is correct.

"Is there a negative other than cost for using it say weekly?"

None that I know of.
