The Absorber is better than a Waffle Weave

I think this is a good point. I've always felt this way too.



However, I do love the absorber, and I love ww's too. It just depends on what mood I am in and believe it or not, the weather. I prefer the absorber when it is colder, don't ask me why.



i have 2 sonus ww's and a megs ww, the sonus ones are amazing, the megs is horrible. really hard and doesn't do anything.

You should do it the other way around. Less chance of scratching the car.

I agree, but it depends upon how you use the absorber. The way I use it is to just lay it over the panel and run my hands over it, pick it up, move it over, etc. I never actually drag it across the surface at all. It leaves very little water behind, and what is left dries off very quickly with no spotting/adverse looks. That's the best way I've found to use it, as well as allay my fears of scratching with it. If the absorber doesn't move, I'll have to try quite a bit harder to scratch/marr my paint with it.
 
I've tried all the Absorber products and they are all rubbish. They micro-marr the finish and are not as thirsty as waffle weave. Not even close enough for a discussion imho.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I do now.
 
The large WW MFs from Pakshak have been perfect for me. The inexpensive white WW MFs from WallyWorld is also great for wheel duty and those areas that face down...like wheel wells, side skirt lowers, etc.
