Tattoo's----what are your personal opinions

Most people get tattoos when they are young, as the people and the tattoo get older, the person may age gracefully, but the tattoos not so much.

I may be showing my age, but I've seen plenty of people that are 40 -50 that look great, but tattoos - that's a different matter entirely!

Thats exactly what im trying to warn people about from my own experience!

I really actually like tattoos if they are done well they are an art .But years later they dont look the same.

If you insist on getting one anway my advice would be to keep it out of the sun and use sunscreen if you are .

Also keep in mind some people hate tattoos so much they wont even date you.

And dont gain weight as PAPPA suggested :D

not only that, it's just another thing to hold against you if for example you were applying for a job and it was exposed. unfortunately, discrimination will always exist and this is just one form...

I like tattoos and have one that had no meaning at the time that I got it. Now I look at it and tell people that it represents the younger out of control Dave. Now that I am more in tune to a purpose in life, I sometimes think I want one to represent how things are now and have even skeched up a few designs that I would still consider getting but it just isn't important to me.

The day I got my Tattoo I was at a A.B.A.T.E. State bike Rally here in PA and there was a 75 year old man in line behind me to get his first tattoo. He was all excited and said he just had to get one before he died. He came back out of the mobile tattoo parlor flexin and pulled up the sleeve of his shirt to show off the nickle sized Tweety Bird tattoo he had just got. It was funny!!

The next day he went back and got a larger "Triumph" tattood on his other arm.
