Hi guys
Just got done applying the Swissol Concorso wax on my 350Z and dad's 430. I'll be doing dad's other cars over the next few weeks with the wax too - a solid yellow and metallic black. The wax retails here for AUD $300 and came in its own pouch and with a hand signed certificate from the guy who made it :cooleek:
Some history - im a detailing fan and have used alot of waxes in the past, P21S, Zaino, OCW, Polylack, etc and find the Concorso to give the best wet look and clarity - im a carnauba man and only use sealants as base coats during winter
What suprised me was the clarity of this carnauba - 48% carnauba per volume. Ive only ever seen this clarity with sealants, never a carnauba. The P21S i was using on the 350Z prior really amplified the orange peel and often i would get hazing on my top panels
My mate who is a pro detailer prep'd the car with Menzerna FF and the Swissol Medium Cleaner Fluid (which has slight abbrassives). I then applied the Swissol Light Cleaner Fluid by hand and then the Concorso wax - just as easy as wipe on, let cure for 10mins, wipe off with no residue. Swissol say to use your hands, but i dont love detailing that much. I used a foam applicator and didnt have any issue with application
Im going to try layering the wax next wash and see how that goes. Swissol recommend to use the cleaner fluid every 2 coats of wax
Onto the pics. I used Mothers Billet Metal Polish + Xenit on exhaust. Wheels done with Polylack Nano Clean + Polylack Nano Seal. I will layer OCW next wash after the Nano Seal has properly cured
430 has just the Swissol Light Cleaner Fluid + Concorso Wax - the red is so deep and rich its unbelievable. Wheels and CF with OCW. I have no idea what to use on the exhaust - they are a weird finish, a rough gritty titanium
.....and of course the money shot :2thumbs:
ill post the other cars when done. My mate will be prep'ing the metallic black this Monday
