I gotta tell you that you and your Dad have the sickest stable ever!!! I can't wait to see that Lambo.

thanks mate, but im going to be selling my Z in the new year - ive got a new car coming in March, and i went solid black again of course :bow

on the lambo, since its a solid yellow with very minor swirls + rarely driven, im just going to do the Menzerna FF by hand on my Wolfgang polishing pal, Swissol light cleaner and the Swissol Concorso. That will be a project for after xmas

i got off my detailing mate today the Swissol Quick Finish - basically their quick detailer. I was using the Pinnacle Crystal Mist with the P21S, but like my thoughts on using ONR, i find it a bit odd to now be layering the Concorso with other 'cheaper' carnauba/sealant based washes/QDs that could change the look of the finish

. The P21S i was using on the 350Z prior really amplified the orange peel and often i would get hazing on my top panels

when iused p21s i saw orange peel or like a sand over the paint

p21s good wax but have many disadvantege . ithink pinnacle more safe in paint.

.....

I, too, disagree with the yellowing statement. I have never gotten yellowing out of anything I've used, especially something as refined as Souveran or another quality nuba.

pics are back up guys

hahaha shezzzhot, you'll have to wait till it's been detailed and im happy with the finish before ill post pics

hopefully i can finish it off next weekend

3fiddyz you said after wash you apply other next coat in 350z when ?

ihope you didnt use clean fluid after to coats ...to see the result ,now the shine is 200% fantastic ....morex1 coat of swissol wow..

maxi ive now sold my 350Z, but i did manage to layer the swissol concorso about 3 times without the cleaner fluid

it didnt really look any wetter, but the clarity did reduce since you're layering over dirty paint and old wax

the 4th layer i used the cleaner fluid before the wax and it looked clear and wet like the first application

For the best in clarity and some nice depth I've found that Zaino with the added Z8 Grand Finale spray is as close to a wax depth, but is very very clear. No other wax can match Zaino as to clarity. Wax will look deeper due to oils that's well known.

Rejex, another sealant used often is in my view way to sterile looking. Looks like the first version of Zaino, very reflective, but no depth and tends to look like plastic-wrap.

If you want that high reflection and depth, then Zaino is best as it also does not attract dust as a wax can. Have you seen how much pollen from trees in the spring just stick to a waxed car? It's the oils that start to migrate out in the heat of the sun, become tacky like flypaper. Add in the pollen and you have a mess.

With sealants, you do not get the same effect. Any dust/pollen that lands on the finish is very easy to dust off. Look at the same on a waxed cars finish, and you'll find the pollen and dust is deeper into the finish (really the oils and first micro-layer of caranuba) than floating on the surface of a sealant finish.

I love the way some waxes look. It's just not practicle for me since I also have black.

Oh and BTW, I see a GT3-RS in your future!!:xyxthumbs

Deanski
