I got a roll of these things for Christmas, came in a 6 pack I think. I used one for a QD cloth yesterday, and its wonderful! I wiped the QD around with a terry towel, and then buffed it off with the finishing cloth, it worked great. No lint at all, no seams to scratch, and soooo smooth and soft on the paint. A little hard to hold onto since its so smooth, but if you kind of fold it a little in your hand it works better. I'm for sure going to get more of these :up I forget the exact price for the 6 pack, but I think its 6 or 7 dollars.

puter- No, these arent those yelow flannel ones. I looked at them yellow ones today and they didnt look so good to me. These things are white, and come rolled up like most of these packs of diff. towels do in parts stores. The size is about 17"x12", and I discovered that it is double sided, you know, like two pieces put together. This is bad when you wash and dry it, as it wants to tangle intself up. I didnt look at the brand, I just tore off the label wrapping them all together and pitched it. It is a very soft, elastic material. It is almost like Kleenex, without all the fuzzy linty type stuff.

I did this car during the winter and the owner brought it back for a maintenance detail.
Paint correction was performed only on part of the hood and the entire trunk section.
Section taped off for spot correction. While in service it looks like paper towel was used to remove a smudge, thankfully I think they got the smudge out :applause:

Ah, winter...mag chloride all over everything, stone chips from the gravel on the roads, dirty slush melting in the garage, weeks without a good wash...
(sorry, not looking foreard to winter in Colorado)

I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait for winter. That is something that I will really be looking forward to.
If I do it (and since the thought entered my head, that means I have to do it) I want to do it right. Set up a real deal correction class, various panels, all my machines, different pads and basically start top to bottom from prep work to combo selection to different techniques.

Glad to see you still use the Rotary for initial correction and then come back with the D/A - I have been doing the same tecnhique for some time now and have had great results.
And since I have been using the Flex VRG/3401 with the "GEWB'd" cut down backing plate - finishing pre-LSP with 5.5" pads has been an absolute dream to do.
You guys on the East Coast are going to be lucky to work with this man - he is absolutely the BEST !!
