M5....not so good

I was rather disappointed in the outcome of this car, mainly because it's a re-paint.......well at least the hood, trunk, 2 doors and the rear panels.....so in other words pretty much all of it:lmfao

Hi-Temps Extreme Power Cut was used to level down the paint, with an orange pad, then I went toa white polishing pad with Hi-Temps (HT) Med. Cut. This product is a great product and will replace my using of DACP.

Menzerna IP finished out the buffing process and FMJ was laid on top of a layer of AIO applied by hand.

I was upset at the out come but again it's a re-paint and it had lots of scratches and the wheels were etched with some sort of acid wheel cleaner......what a shame:(

Hood BEFORE

Here is a shot of the trunk AFTER it was all finished. I apologize for nottaking the picture from the same side but it had been two days since I took the BEFORE pics and I forgot from which side I took the pic.

Some of you may remember me speaking of a product that dyes trim.......well the cleaner included in that kit is way cool and that's what I used to clean the wax out of this area and the many other areas that were stained. I then sprayed the areas with Instant Shine.

Here is a AFTER pic.......notice all the rock chips? Invicishield would have been a good investment on this Beemer

nic pics. on the front bumper, theres all of those holes that cant be fixed eh? my mom's car has that same problem, i guess she gets it when shes on the freeway, and rocks fly up and hit her bumper. once i own a car, i think im gonna try a clear car bra, to prevent that stuff from happening. that a pretty sweet job on the trim! nice job. now if only i could own a M5.......

Whats wrong with the outcome, looks good to me. :dunno Those rock chips suck though dont they. Here is a 540i bumper with the same type of abuse.

A new customer of mine has a Dinan M5 that I was supposed to do today but we got rained out. He let me drive it the other day and all I can say is HOLY $#!^ Anyway, he also has a silver 360 Modena. Werent you the one who created the "Poorboys Ferrari" thread? We'll have to compare :lmfao

What is the name of that product you use to dye trim and where can I get it. Bye the way I love all of your pics. When I log on to this forum and I see your name I go straight to it. Great job setting the standard for the rest of us!

Looks good for what you had to work with.

How does the GR-40 trim cleaner compare to Deep down?

Eric

Hello all,

I apologize Eric for the late reply. I believe the Gr-40 is the better cleaner. The Deep Down does a good job but the Gr40 can get some real old crusty stuff out. It may take a few applications and some scrubbing but when all done you may not need to dress it, which is always cool!

Maybe it's me, but all I can say is wow! What a transfermation. The improvement is super.

Thanks very much :)

I appreciate all the positive feedback.....the client liked the work so much that she scheduled her other 2 cars for this week:cool

Now it's raining so I may not do much this week:(

Thanks again,
Anthony
