I picked up a new VW GTI this summer. Black paint w/a high metallic clearcoat...it's much more forgiving than pure black, thankfully.
I've Zaino'd the heck out of it. Z2 and Z5 w/the ZFX activator. Buffed off w/MFT and Z6, finishing buff after that w/a plush MFT.
I've noticed that after a wash, be it touchless to chase off dust, or a full-on bucket wash w/a mitt...when I'm waterblading, I can see the "ghosts" of waterspots, bug impacts, etc.
It's momentary. It's just after the blade passes. After the finish dries, these ghosts are not visible. The finish has been tough to get to where it is now, but it's blessedly glassy now.
Friday-day, I cleaned her up and layed down another coat of Zaino Z2 for the heck of it. Friday nite, I had to park it outside for a while and the temps are dropping fast these days.
When I pulled back into the garage, I had a little bit of condensation forming on the roof/hood and the condensation was "formed" like the Zaino application I just did. Once it dried, it was gone, but it was just interesting.
Thoughts??
