Straight line technique vs circular motion?

A loaded question! I like it. I like to use a dedicated leaf blower with a special attachment for drying the car

Obviously circular swirls are much more noticeable than those in straight lines....should contaminates be on the paint and induced during any of those applications.

However I prefer circular for applying LSP including coatings...and straight lines for drying without air.

nice i would use straight lines too, if you use a leaf blower wouldnt it be very loud and annyoing to use every time, but i understand that it is very fast to dry your car, and you can get through all the cracks and crevices.

Washing - straight
Drying - straight
Waxing - straight

And Quick Detailing!
I'm a recent convert to straight lines. I figure, it's about minimizing risk. I do feel that while waxing, by hand with a typical applicator, that straight lines require careful attention for proper coverage.

Waxing - DA because I am lazy
Drying - Blow crevices with metro sidekick and blot or straight line wipe with drying towel
Washing - Straight

All straight lines for me. There are times that I will use circles to apply wax, and when removing polish, and lsp's.

Each method has its place. It's also in the technique of which you perform them in. Do your research, and find out what works best for you. Just remember to always flip over your microfiber towel to a clean side before contacting the paint. This alone will prevent a lot of damage.

I saw a car today that you can tell it was washed in circles. It looked like summer. Some dirt here, some dirt there. Just awful
