Spelling...it's not for everyone

My GF is a spelling freak I mis spell somi thing and it will bug her for a long time, she can't get over it until I change it? :D
 
I would say that it's the thought that counts on they're sign.



EDIT: This thread is funny, but the misuse is secretly making me cringe.
 
Well, one full day on the busiest road in town, and it still hasn't been changed. You'd think one of the employees might notice the sign when they arrive/leave.



Spelling/grammar errors are very obvious to me, which explains why I've been told multiple times that I should be an English teacher. I think being an English teacher would drive me nuts because of all the errors I would constantly be reading. I'd be very strict on typographical errors, so I'd probably get crap from the PTA or something about being too hard on the students. :o
 
OMG the spelling/grammar on that page is painful to read.

Did you mean to spell it "they're"?? I just can't tell in this thread :chuckle:



Spelling is a big thing for me, too. I don't know why, but proofreading a poor speller's paper is so painful :bolt
 
I was having a manager at one of my stores change the sign on the marquee. I wanted it to say "Frozen Pepsi $.99" I drove by on my way home from the office and was greeted by, in huge letters, "Frozern Pepis $99." *sigh*



Needless to say, I had a talking when them about they're poor speelling techneeks and lousey gramer and punschuashun.
