Sonax Gloss Shampoo

HELLO, Irene!! Big, bodacious :wow: bottles of the new SONAX touched down this afternoon. They were on the verge of being frozen, but I don't think we're gonna have any issues. These are BIG 1L bottles !! I ended up with 2L of the

uber-shampoo for around $24 incl. shipping from TOL. Sucha deal!

A few fotos for your pleasure:

(the .5L bottle is the end of my original supply, prolly enough to wash two more cars)

Don't know how I'm gonna be able to sleep tonight with this stuff sitting in the basement...I hope it's warm enough tomorrow. Temps are supposed to approach freezing, sort of :o

Freezing does damage most detail products, esp. complex polishes, that can separate and liquid/ paste waxes. Shampoos would be less likely to have permanent problems, but protect all of your stock with insulated storage or a light bulb nearby.

Irene, I have absolutely no doubt that the cold temps and freezing would permanently affect many of our prized products. The shampoo had not solidified as it sat outside for only a couple of minutes following UPS drop off. The bottles had been sitting on his truck all day during his deliveries and we peaked out at around 8F. There are certain detailing supplies I will not order during the cold season.

Thanks.

Wow! That's quite the precaution there! How do they recommend disposal?
Some of our own states and municipalities have the same restrictions.

European chemical manufacturers are really under the gun for environmental safety. Many strict regulations for production and labeling. As you may know, they have been moving to water based auto paints and detailing chemicals for a long time. This doesn't make for better products, but it's the future.

I'm sure it won't be long before U.S. labels will tout similar disposal instructions for all products. Maybe we should water our lawns with the runoff! :idea

Is the Sonax Gloss Shampoo the same as Sonax NTS7 just new packaging/labeling, or are they different? Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the Sonax brand. :)

Most likely, if not better, I assume. Sonax stuff is great. Awhile back it was a big Autopian Favorite.

well, I washed two cars with the new SONAX this weekend. The product is thinner, has a different odor. I supposed this is a new enviro-friendly formulation.
