Some thoughts on Zaino Products...

That wraps it all up over and over and over again. The fun is being sucked out of this hobby by both sides of this argument. The boards are becoming more of a stress than a place for fun/sharing/learning.

It's really quite disgusting.

This one reason I started the thread suggesting a Product Brand Truce. :hifive:

When you have this many members on a car care forum, your bound to have product disagreements if you will. A couple things come to mind. #1 when people sit behind a keyboard and a screen that nobody can see, some (not all) are bound to type things they normally would not say to your face. #2 I can type a response to something and without voice inflection, you could literally take it 3 ways depending on the mood of the person typing. All you really see is a flat line remark. So in some cases you will get mis-interpretation from some viewers.

Agreed completely. When you have to walk around biting your tongue for fear of reprimand for stating an opinion, it kinda takes away any incentive to post your thoughts. I see SO MUCH gross misinformation out there on the various "DETAILING" sections of the forums I visit that it's almost funny, yet I'm hesitant to redirect anyone to here because of what goes on.

The people who think they know the ins and outs and every little detail and the history of the product they covet make me laugh. All they know is what the producer tells them and what they perceive when and after they use the product, which at the level of coveting becomes quite biased.

That's an interesting point. If product wars continue then the community will be less valuable. That will lead to fewer links and referrals of friends.

I'd rather not see that happen.

I don't view this a war at all, anybody new looking here and reading this would either be interested enough to try Brand X or to try the other products touted as "better". It's so friggin subjective anyway. Dude buys a 100 dollar can of wax or bottle of sealant and you tell him that the bargain brand is as good or better? Got a fight in the making that a blind man can see a mile away. Let's agree to disagree and find something else to talk about. Whatever you use and like - fine, I'm glad, cause I'm still looking for the holy grail and I doubt I'll find the one that is "IT".

the HOLY GRAIL is polishing with a wool pad and rotary then following that up with a PC to get rid of the wool swirls.

Not to *argue* but I'd like to follow with a rotary and green CCS.:D

I just put a coat of Prima Hydro over my Zaino masterpiece. I like it! Hydro fills slightly and muted the blasting Zaino shine my white car has. Now you can actually look at the car in the sunlight.

:LOLOL Somewhat OT but when my brother got his 1971 Challenger painted white, he could hardly wait to show me. Problem was, I was a shift manager at Jack in the Box and worked graveyard. My brother got his car back in the morning and wakes me up at maybe 10 AM and I'd gone to bed 90 minutes earlier. He drags me outside to look at his white, and I mean WHITE!!! Challenger in the blazing Arizona morning sun. I saw spots the next 30 minutes while trying to fall back asleep!

For revenge, you should have offered a spectaculer dealership-style detail. :)
