So the Lexus guys tell me the best mod for my car is...

Did you see there was a 1JZ swapped 95 SC in your color for sale on the forums? He's looking for 8500 I think. Automatic though so that's why it's so cheap.... the manual swapped Lexs seem to go for around 13000 minimum

I'd give you my spoiler if it came with one (93)... I'm 99% sure it doesn't though.. I have another spoiler picked out for mine.

I decided on the 1JZ swap for sure due to various reasons... I'm trying to find one within an hour or two of where I'm picking up the car so I can pick up both at once!

I'll have to check that SC out. Edit- do you have the link? I didn't see it in the SC3/4 classified forum.

That front chin spoiler is really hard to find used. Off of a car, they can be hard for ~$150. But, when they go up for sale, they're gone quickly. To buy one new is $360.

Of course not. Like Accumulator said, Auto-X is all in the driver. That's why we often see people in Civics and Miatas lapping 911's and M3's.

A while back, there was a guy who bought an SC400 brand new. Added I think a set of tie rods, and left everything stock, down to the tires. He ended up winning some regional championship.

As for the slushbox... eh. I'll have to suck it up and get used to the fact that Lexus made a mistake by not offering a 6-speed with the 4.0.

I said not fun, not fast. Any car has the potential to be quick with the right driver but honestly I haven't had the most fun autoxing when i was recieving the my highest times.

All the fun was to be had when completely screwing up, and laughing at myself. :D But I stand by my advice: if you plan to autox you are better off staying in stock and only doing very slight mods before you bump yourself into other classes. Really not worth it if you want to be competitive in a class.

I agree. I don't have plans to do any real competing though. I just want to be able to go out and have fun driving the car. I'd go to a track, but I don't know of any around here.
