Snow in April ???

As a Bostonian, I spent 10 hours detailing my car in NJ last weekend only to come up to a salt ridden mess on Tuesday. Oh well.

I shoveled 4 inches of snow to pull a car out today so I could wash it! Did the inside last night, even told myself I should wash it now, but it was midnight and I have the car all week.

We got DUMPED on in Cleveland last (Friday) night. There was over 4" on the car when I left work, max speed on the highway was ~40 and by the time I got home there was a 2" thick armor plate of ice on my front end ... AND my driver's side wiper stopped working halfway home. When I had my windshield replaced last month they didn't adjust the wiper arm right, so I made them fix it. Well, I couldn't drive like that, so I make it to my parents house and open the hood and of course the heat from the engine had melted the bottom most layer of ice on the hood and it ALL came sliding down right where I needed to see to fix the wiper at the base of the windshield. When I get THAT mess cleared, I checked the nut holding the wiper arm to the mechanism and found it was **hand tight!!**

Seems like when those garage monkeys adjusted my wipers, the FORGOT to tighten the stupid nut. I called my cousin's hubby who works for the dealership that fixed my car told me to take it in, the service dept was open. Well I called and they passed me off to the bodyshop which isn't open until Monday. I called cousin's hubby back and when I told him what was wrong and what the service guy said to me, he got P!SSED and told me that he was going to raise hell with his boss Monday for them more or less "Leaving me stranded."

Currently working on it. Soon as one of these applications comes through and I get a job offer the house is going on the market and we're out of here. Like you said, family will visit.
Thats awesome! I wish you the best of luck!:rockon Theres no reason to suffer anymore! The older you get the better it is for your health to get away from the cold .

I am up in Ithaca NY for the weekend. Light dusting of snow. The
Ain roads were salted to the max. My shiney coated car is now white and chalky.
I guess we will see how easily this all comes off next weekend if the weather cooperates.
I do have about 32 oz of onr mixed in the trunk with some MF for bird bombs. Not sure I should attempt to clean the whole car with it.

Ive gotta say..this thread sounds like an old ladys convention in the association for the elderly center in north carolina..:)

Yanno the older I get the more I seem to talk about the weather. Me and a co-worker (same age) were driving back from Northern PA the other day, all of a sudden we were both talking about the weather. We both looked at each other with a look of "oh no we didn't..."

We got more snow today here in Montreal, Canada... But the good news is that it's going to be 40-50f for the rest of the week, so I'll be detailing for sure!
