FWIW - the Simple Green corrosion story came from the military, where they were using SG to clean helicopter metallic skin panels.
The SG didn't corrode the panels directly - however, the reside in between the panels, left due to poor rinsing, allowed and electrolysis effect in the aircraft skin, leading to some electrolytic corrosion.
This then gets blown out of all proportion on the interWeb (as usual)
I've used SG on my wheels for years, and as a GPC - no issues what so ever - great product!
