Better late than never.....here is mine....

SHICKS,

Hmm...I have used both Lexol and Zaino and neither have produced the shine like you have in your BMW. Are you buffing the surface after letting the product dry?

I know I posted this picture on an earlier page but this is with Z-10 after letting it sit for 20 minutes and then buffing:

Also, do you ever clean the leather between applications? It almost looks like product build up.

Yes, I have cleaned the leather several times, once with soapy water, another time with Lexol cleaner and a terry towel, I have also tried Woolite mix. I wonder if I need to agitate it a little with a brush. Or it just might be the way it is worn. The back seats are not as bad.

did you install those katzkin covers yourself? And did you order through an upholstery shop or on your own? I'm going to be ordering a set of those for my truck soon, but I don't quite know what to expect. :wavey

Yeah, I got brave and did them myself. It wasn't too bad of a job...just time consuming taking all the seats apart and then putting them back together. With some patience and a helping hand you should do alright. You can order whatever style and color you want at www.autoleathers.com. Check out the write-up I did on the install... Katzkin Install

great write-up! But now I'm curious.... you mention a "sample ring" as opposed to the sample booklet. I've currently got the booklet, but see no mention anywhere of the sample ring. Where do I order that?

I've got a basic idea what I want, but I need to be absolutely sure if I'm spending $700+ on this project.

Just call them up and ask for a sample ring, they'll send you one free of charge.

just the 800 number from the website? That's awesome. I figured you had to be a distributor to get those materials; but I'll have to call them tomorrow and get one sent out. Thanks! :xyxthumbs

That is a nice leather kit! I also installed my own leather in my 4Runner and it was a relatively easy install. I think the worst part was getting the hog rings on.
