Well, now that I have your attention . . .
Some 6-8 weeks ago I put a business card on a black Porsche 911 Carrera convertible in the parking lot of a high-end shopping center, and lo and behold, the owner called last week and scheduled an appointment. It's a 1995 with just 48K on the odo. Owner says the dealer where he bought it informed and assured him that the car was originally owned by Scottie Pippen. No documentation of this, BUT whoever was the first owner had an expensive sound system installed including custom-made fiberglass speaker housings which required removal of the two rear seats. (Now, who would do that to a $68,000 Porsche?) (But how does anyone 6'8"/230 lbs squeeze into one of these things?)
Anyway, overall the car was in pretty decent shape, w/ minimal battle scars, and just some mild to moderate swirls. Sorry, but cloud cover and a 7:30 a.m. start time made for lousy before photos, but I did manage to get these two of the swirls:
By the time I got to the exterior, the sun was out so I decided to make this a 1-2-3 Poorboy's detail:
Clayed the horizontal surfaces
SSR 2.5 with a Meguiar's burgandy pad
SSR 1 with a Meguiar's polishing pad
EX w/ carnauba with a Meguiar's finishing pad
The alloy wheels got ClearKote Metal Polish, AIO, and Collinite Fleetwax
Dressed the wheel wells with Armor All
Meguiar's High Endurance gel on the tires
