S2000 or G35 coupe

I drive both cars pretty regularly. My boss has a track edition 07 z, convertible, which is comparable to the g35 (i think?) and my good friend and one of my best customers owns an S2K.

Honestly, I think the g35/z is an old fat man's car, while the s2k is a driver's car. The torque curve on the Z makes it fun to drive... for about 10 minutes, then you're all like, I don't have to know what gear I'm in to pass on the highway/take a turn!

My point being, is that the S2000 is a stiff, driver-oriented car, that needs you to drive it.

The Z, however, doesn't need much driver participation, and is a heavy beast.

And this is from someone who loves nissan's and hates hondas. but there's always the exception.

Also, it depends on what your intentions are for the car. I might prefer the Z for autocross, for the Torque On Demand, and the S2K for pure track fun!

bump hijack. i cant decide between a yellow 2005 s2000, and a burnt orange 2003 350 z. i am 6'7 240 and its much more comfortable in the z. lol

Get an S2000, much more fun to drive, better handling, lighter, better brakes, it's the best value if you want a performance sports car.

I own one, it's a blast to drive.

Bringing up my thread from the dead because...

Still have my AP2. 70K on the odo, still bone stock, still dead reliable, and I've enjoyed every single minute of it. And...today I bought a '10 g37s with 14.5 on the odo so I can stop putting so many commuting miles on the s2000. The S is a car I will keep until either I or it dies.

I juste sold my ap1 and crap i regret it :( [attachment=10002:uploadfromtaptalk1400676718797.jpg]

And after 4 days with the g37, I completely agree with you.

The G37 weight-wise feels like an absolute pig compared to the S2000. Really, boat anchor heavy. It's got HP and TQ that beat the S, but it doesn't deliver feedback to the driver nearly as well as the S. Stepping back into the S after driving the G felt like I'd hopped into a go kart.

Not bagging on the G37, afterall I just bought one. But it is without a doubt a GT cruiser whereas the Honda is a true drivers car. Fortunately, that's exactly what I was after in the G. Perfect commuter car for me.

I feel so very fortunate that I can now wake up each morning and have the opportunity to choose which one to drive each day.
