Hey - new here. . .anyway, had a local pro detailer do a full Zaino on my black 06 MB that I purchased use last summer. Prior to going Zaino I had used Blitz Polish and Blitz Wax on the car and it looked good with a few noticeable rock chips on the front.
Anyway, the detailer used dawn to remove all the waxes, etc and then did the following:
1. Wash
2. Claybar twice
3. Wash
4. Z5 x 2
5. Z6
The car looks great but the hood now shows lots of rock chips - lots. I asked the detailer if touch up paint had come off, etc and he said no that there were probably multiple layers of wax/dirt/wax that filled in the chips over time so that they weren't noticeable. . .and that Zaino doesn't really hid anything.
So. . .does this make sense?
Next steps. . thinking:
1. Strip zaino (dawn)
2. Touch up hood
3. Redo Zaino process
Thoughts/ideas?
