Oops, I misplaced this post. Anyway......

As Footy said, I bought one for my Boxster and last week made one myself for my S4. Cost about $2. I simply bought some sheet rubber, cut a rectangle the size of the flap I wanted and then used a spraypaint cap as a guide and cut a circle in one end. Took like 15 minutes of time.

And it works!!!!!! My wife caused the filler to overflow (AGAIN!!!!) at the pump and gas hit the rubber sheath and dripped harmlessly to the ground. Now the S4 is wife-proof.

This is the store-bought one for the Porsche. I actually like my home made one better.

Wow! What a great idea! Was the gas tank in the Boxster always black, or was it painted when you just bought it?

It just looks black because the vinyl protector shown above covers the whole inside area. It's painted silver under there.

I know you've had this rubber product on your car for a while. But I must say Brad, it does look very nice. Great job!

That shows he was probably being a good newbie and used the search engine! Many times when searching have I thought about posting a reply, then realizing that it's a very old thread. One reason I have a low low post count is that I search A LOT.

He died last week . He was a great rock singer . Played with rainbow , black sabbath and formed his own band but I think he was at his best with Black Sabbath .
I've been listening to his cd's every since I heard the bad news . He died of stomach cancer . A great loss to the music world .
