Ridiculous honda paint..

trust me, I know how to properly detail a car...I have spent 17 hours on the exterior of a rolls royce, 20 hours on a dodge E-series van, 17 hours on the exterior of a 37ft RV, and 13 hours on the exterior of a F150 just to name a few longer details....I have no problem spending the time if adequately compensated for it, or its a friend (F150). Problem I have is that most of the people I deal with don't want to spend $1k+ to have their car detailed to the max, I have yet to deal with someone who is a collector car and wants perfection, and I have yet to meet a person who is just flat out rich and doesn't care about money and says to me "have at it, money is no issue"...

Well, you have to know the market you are catering to, and master it. TH0001 obviously has done that with his clients. I think you could also say Scottwax has done the same with his clients. Again, different type clients, with different expectations, budgets, requirements, etc..., but non the less, these guys have mastered the markets they cater to.

You also have to be honest with your clients. Yeah, I'll say it (even though I have been slammed for saying it on other sites), there is a time and place for fillers. I don't believe there is anything wrong with using them, as long as they fit into the goal of the detail, and you are honest with your clients about the work / process that was performed.

so Doot, what was the end result/process

End result was aroung 90-95% correction. After talking with both Ryan (in this post) and Todd, I cam to the conclusion with them both that a medium polish with a light polishing pad worked the best.

I used SIP+Whitex2 then 106FA+Blackx1 and jeweled the paint with 85rd+blue. Had I done this process in the first place, it would have been around a 8-10hour job. but because I was too busy chasing the large defects, instead of the major swirling, it was a total of around 20 hours on the exterior alone.

C&B will be up as soon as I have more free time.. Customer should be here any minute to pick the car up..
