Review: Opti-Seal

......Where you really appreciate using OS is when you use it on a large SUV and don't have to go back around it again removing excess product.
I never really thought the WOWA would be that big of a convenience until I did the top of a mini van with a roof rack. It sure was a breeze to do and it was great not having to go back and buff around a roof rack (I hate those things).

It's been a couple of days since I first used my OS, but I'm really impressed with the gloss and slickness at this point.

Nice write up Justin, you do a nice job on your reviews.

Guys, please don't hate me if this is a dumb question because I don't know that much about Opti-Seal. But, I was wondering if using this product over a layer of wax would work (the original poster mentioned he has a layer of Souveran on there already). Wouldn't that prevent bonding? Also, are we sure that Opti-Seal plays nicely with conventional waxes?

Again, apologize if these are naive questions and this product is not like other sealants that I have worked with recently.

I actually remember reading that Opti-Seal works its way under the wax. So whether you put it on after waxing or before, the end result is the same--with the wax on top. That's what I read anyway. I haven't tried OS yet personally (not that I'd be able to detect something like that in the first place).

There were a lot here who said the CS gave a noticeable improvement in wetness, but I didn't see it... hopefully I will with the OS.

Don't worry, I didn't see a noticeable improvement from either product.

On Topic: Looks good Justin, keep us updated on durability.

That's the unknown at this point, its going to be up to end users to test compatibility over products.

I'm actually going to use it over several different LSPs from sealants to waxes.......and a all in ones. The customers will be getting it for free.

Why am I doing this?

For all of you!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Raining all day here. This was good chance to see the "beading" vs. "sheeting" of Opti-Seal. It definitely sheets and beads. Water runs off veritcal surfaces and beads on horizonal ones. Once I got up to 30mph, nothing stuck though! The hood was dry in 15 seconds. I'm pleased.

The pics.......

Looks great Justin. But the trim, :shocked Is that just OS on it or something else to?

Opti-Seal bro! That it. Good stuff. That's why I took the pic of the mirror.

Thanks you for all the great photos and the great review!

Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd ask here. Would Opti-seal bond to a product with fillers. A poster above read that Opti can work its way "under wax".

I see a lot of questions (and differenrt answers) concerning a sealers ability to bond to various products.

I have started working with Opti Seal and my expectation would be that it will seal in the fillers. I have it on top of a sealant and a carnauba and if it works its way under the carnauba it sure doesn't do anything to diminish the appearance.

Terrific stuff.
