S&S Detailing

Just moved out to California and left my dewalt 849 HD, 3m pads and 3m 3 step system with my brother. I'm reading on THE HEADER FOR THIS THREAD that if I'm not using a Dual action polisher I'm missing out. So since I have the opportunity to start fresh I was hoping for some feedback. I'm actually getting everything for "free" for a detail and bumper fix on a '11 Venza so I'd like to spend less than $300. I was thinking about a combo deal, though I know there are negatives.
I've looked at porter cable combos that seem pretty reasonable, but I don't know if the porter cable is good? Or what product and pad combo to get with it? I had really good luck with the 3M system but if there is something better I might as well get it while I'm buying all this stuff
This is what I was looking at, but just don't know what combo to get. So many options!!
Dual Action Orbital Polishers and pads: Porter Cable 7424 : Porter Cable 7424XP: Lake Country Buffing Foam Pads
Well thanks for any help. I'm on a phone doing this, no Internet yet out here. I'll try and watch this thread though. Thanks again
