removing old wax

Any recommendations on how to remove old wax from crevices? I have a tight spot on my hood where the hood scoop meets the hood. Any special tools I should use?

If you can't get to it with a q-tip, you can use a small brush instead. I like Meguiar's triple duty brush thingy. A soft toothbrush could also work.

Whatever removal media you use, I'd saturate it with a good QD. I prefer natural materials for this as they will usually soften up when wetted with QD whereas synthetic fibers (e.g., bristles of most brushes) won't.

Note that you call pull the cotton off a Q-tip (or use women's cotton wool makeup balls) and then work it into tight spots with a small, sharp stick. Be careful not to mar paint with the stick by poking through the cotton! I've also had success with the sharpened stick itself, but you gotta flag the tip with a razor blade/etc. and really *soak* it with QD to soften up the wood fibers or you'll get marring.
