This detail is on a 2 & half yrs old Mitsubishi lancer. When i got it, it looked kinda "tired" in the sense that the bright Mit Black paintwork looks slightly dull and there were scratches all over. Those near the door handles were even deeper and makes me wonder abt the owner's fingernails
Anyway the process is as follows:
1) Wash with Meg's NXT shampoo
2) Claybar with Erazer Clayber
3) Hyper Compound with 6.5" yellow LC with PC speed 6 for the whole car. The areas with deeper scratches were treated with hyper and 4"spot buff pads speed 6 on PC.
4) PO106FF with LC orange light cut pads with PC speed 6
5) Poorboy's S&G to clear up all the dust before OCW.
Before and after compounding:
Fingernails too long??
Scratches gone
Another of those scratches near door handle:
after:
Other area with scratch, b4 and after
