Those are good results. You definitely do not have to use exotics (especially in his case) to get good results.
You might be surprised, however, in seeing how a "pebble beach" wax could bring out a different response to the paint.
I have found that paint that is perfect to near perfect, in using Zymol or other high quality waxes, generally will take less applications of polishing and wax to achieve a brilliant shine.
That Chevelle and Mercedes, however, seemed flawless! Very nice.
