Random thoughts thread

I could not possibly hate the rotten state of Illinois more than I do right now. Filling out the paperwork to get my truck titled and registered.....I paid $15,225 for the truck. According to the tax tables, anything with a purchase price under 15K has a set tax depending on the year, in my case it would be $25 owed to the state. Anything over 15K owes $75. So if I had paid a whopping $226 less for the truck, I would owe this rotten state $725 less in tax on the truck

House of Wax- I wonder whether any Dealers take that into account when setting prices. Sounds like a good negotiating topic/tactic to me.
 
Bought from a private seller. Our bank just took care of putting it in our loan on our last two vehicles. This time I went through our credit union and didn't even think about it and neither did they. It's just a load of garbage the state pours the coals to ya like that
 
Finally a decent enough day to detail the wifes car and try out the goodies I picked up over the winter. It was like Christmas!
 
It seems the Justice Dept was able to extract the encrypted files from the San Bernadino terrorist's phone without Apple's help. I guess we know that aspect can be thwarted. Now it is computer crunch time to decrypt it.
 
top golf and day drinking. now that is a plan for my wed off

and growing up we only went to church on Easter- always found that a little odd
 
If you hear and see it at the same time you may be in trouble. :) Of course that may be intermingled with feeling it.
 
Actually the huge amount of negative ions released with lightning in a thunderstorm leaves the air so beautiful and clean smelling... It seems to be the best air one can ever breathe and its outside and its free !!! :)

Now, I will just try to keep away from the lightning strikes... :)

Was a few miles away and was just an F1. It had to be moving east about 50 mph. It was all the way down to the ground when I first saw it and it was up off the ground by the time I was able to grab a pic.

So i had scheduled today off from the day job to detail car that so far im considering a no call no show.
And the club member who booked into this weekends schedule back in feb has still yet to confirm. considering he's supposed to bring the car to me tomorrow it's not looking good.

Haven't had someone do this to me in over a year and looks like it will be twice in a week. Geez.

im not a pro but im trying to run a legitimate business here and i know this happens i just get annoyed with how people can disrespect your time and schedule like this.

I have turned down other people for this weekend specifically.

Not much i can do but enjoy the day off now.
