Random thoughts thread

I hope you get good news on your dog/best friend.

RaydiantDetail- So sorry to hear about your canine pal! Hope things turn out OK after all.

But glad you and your wife are expecting.

Radiant, thoughts ya`lls way about the dog, sad news for sure. Hope it all gets sorted out.

Big time congrats on the impending arrival!

Thanks Y`all! So far the vet is saying he is doing better. He has been on the fluid therapy (IV), antibiotics and some other medications for the past 3 days. His levels look to be reducing so hopefully in the next 48 hours he will be back to normal. I appreciate the kind words!

I have the itch (after work) to spray water on my perfectly clean truck siting outside just to witness the coating behavior. Talk about Autopian problems, haha.

I love that stuff. :D

Driving my wife`s Q5 recently in a huge downpour. Going 60+ mph with the wipers off (they kept dragging the water from the edges, ironically making more of an obstruction than leaving them off), I kept catching myself watching a small spot on the front windows where the water would actually flow towards the front of the car because of the airflow tumbling around the mirrors. (Hopefully that was intelligible!)

Slippery cars are awesome.

Oh man I`d hate to detail one of those things (we get `em as Service Loaners). You have my respect for taking care of that to Autopian standards!

Wellll... It`s not up to Autopian snuff quite yet. It`s had various LSPs on it to get it by, but haven`t had time to do correction yet. Phantom black, so once I`m done spending a week correcting it (I`m slow!), it should look pretty stellar.

It`s an S-Line, too; I haven`t tackled anything beyond just basic cleaning of all that grill work. I get waves of anxiety worrying about trying to get even application over all the nooks and crannies.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. :)

Yes indeed, all that grille-work/etc. is just what I was thinking of!

My truck is filthy - my BMW is clean & just sits in the garage. IDGAS... Been busy w/ new GF & I`m getting surgery next week to fix a small hernia.

I did buy a hand made copper mailbox & put PBL paint coating on it - I`m thinking that may last 2 weeks. So I`m going to top it with Synergy before I mount it.

Yeah, best of luck with that surgery. Sadly, I don`t look at any of them as small anymore. It may be a small hernia but surgeries just aren`t. If they put you out, it`s a big deal. I`m a survivor of more surgeries than I could begin to count and I don`t view this as I once did. Surgeries are tough, period.

^ Thanks for the well wishes guys. I`m like a cockroach - nothing can kill me...The good thing about this hernia surgery is it got me to take my health more seriously.

I`m eating better, exercising almost every day and wouldn`t classify myself as a fat slob anymore (mebbe half a fat slob). Some patient actually recently described me as "the thin pharmacist"... So there is progress.

So, life ain`t bad.

SwanicYouth- Glad to hear you`re prioritizing the right things. Which method are they using on your hernia? (I had inguinals fixed both ways, one on each side, decades ago.)

I trust you know enough about your surgeon to have confidence....

And good on you for getting it fixed while it`s still small; too many people I know decided to wait (and wait, and..) and then they were all bummed out about how much more of a THING it ended up being, especially the recovery.

Glock gives you the magazine load assist for the little girls to use. ;) Seriously though, the last two rounds can be tough in a Glock.
