I put a treble hook in my thumb last year. I am not sure whats worse yours with barb all the way through or mine barb buried in the meat but only a 1/4" in. Yours way worse going in all they way through but at least then you can cut the hook or barb and pass it back with minimal resistant. Mine only in a little but bard stuck in the meat of my thumb, I had to just grab it with pliers and ripe it back out and a little chunk of meat muscle with it. I was doing ok with it stuck in there and using pliers to remove the hook from the bait (as it was a jerk bait with 2 other hooks I didnt want to risk burring in during the ripping the hook out process)but once I ripped the hook out I went white as a ghost and started the cold sweats and my stomach felt like puking. That was one day I really felt bad for the fish with all the hooks I have pt into them .

Also this is a pic of the hook style i had in my thumb its a reverse barb treble that comes on Megabass lures.

oh no my friend, it was a treble hook from a rattle trap that went straight in past the barb. those pics are after I cut that part of the treble hook off with a pair of side cutters and curved it around to push it back through my finger.

Actually it was the 3rd hook of the lure that stuck me. I had the rattle trap in both hands after taking it out of the box and it started sliding off with the lid open. My son was standing back with me so I tried to grab it....2 hooks went in my right hand and a third in my left hand. One barely went in and pulled out easy. The 2nd went barely past the barb so I ripped it back out. That 3rd one went buried straight in. There was no ripping it backwards.

Rattle traps are dangerous. That story made my &$^^ pucker, three hooks in :o. I have a box full of ratle traps and to make them easier to get out the box and to make them easier to handle I wrap the hooks together with a elastic (ones meant for braiding horse mains) so the tangle less and the hooks are not dangling during knot tying then cut off the elastic when ready to fish. Also do my crank baits (looks sorta like this but with small elastic you dont have to wrap as much it fits more snugly and also they are super cheap so you can just cut them instead trying to unwrap them.

We just found out yesterday after taking one of our dogs to the vet that he has severe kidney failure. He is only 3 years old and in the past week his health and energy declined very fast. He was not eating or drinking water, vomiting 3 to 4 times a day, and very lethargic. The doctor said his Creatinine and BUN levels were so high that his machine he uses put the readings off the charts at the highest levels. They are now doing some blood tests and urine sample tests as well to see if it could be Addisons or another infection causing the kidney issues. He`s on fluids and was given antibiotics and anti-nausea medication.

He`s been with the Vet the past few days for monitoring. It`s really hit us hard thinking that this could be fatal and he may not live but we are going to try to do everything we can to make sure he does that is within our means and will be the least invasive for him. Hopefully the tests come back that its caused by an infection and we can work towards treating that and getting him better. He`s the only dog out of the three that plays with my 1.4 year old daughter instead of running away and he`s normally super energetic and hes my best buddy. My daughter already feels something is wrong too. It`s so crazy how much they become a huge part of your lives and you feel the huge impact and sadness when they get sick like this.

On a happier note, my wife just found out she is pregnant with our 2nd tonight! Aye yay yay crazy few days!

Boy, I needed to get all this out!

finding the second box (from the BOGO sale) of 100 Gloveworks hd gloves you ordered a while back when you just recently found the bottom of the first box - yes! still can`t find that bottle of Tornado I swore I had unopened, maybe I used it already

that moment of silence when the customer pauses after you tell them $x and up, final price on inspection and they pause as if they were in shock.

a lifted truck with 20inch rims, yeah I`m gonna say you`re in the and up range of my prices

I`m sure those mods were not cheap, and neither are my prices.

I wanted to ask if he chose the cheapest installer for those parts as well

Looks like I found out the hard way the speedo is off in the S10, now I gotta pay the state of PA some money and get some points. Second time getting pulled over for speeding in the truck, think I need to get that fixed, lol.

while watching my own videos on the holy sheet thread I realize my inspection has been out the entire month of july, hahahaha

I just find it so funny how sometimes I get someone with a 10 year old Focus want the paint polished and interior completely taken care of then the guy with the 2 year old $80,000 Mercedes (never waxed or taken care of) say it’s too much just to WAX it!

Some people just don’t value the art of detailing.

I have the itch (after work) to spray water on my perfectly clean truck siting outside just to witness the coating behavior. Talk about Autopian problems, haha.

things I enjoy hearing during the course of a claims interview - "this is not an exhaustive damage list..." first time I`ve ever heard someone use that term at work other than myself
