Well, these are my results with early testing.
FD :
1- More of a carnauba look and feel to finish.
2- Warm glow to presentation.
3- There is a little resistance between buffing towel and paint.
4- Paint feels slicker.
5- Really makes the metallic flakes pop out like the milky way.
QS
1- More of a polymer look and feel to finish.
2- High reflectivity to presentation.
3- There is almost no resistance between buffing towel and paint.
4- Paint feels slickest.
5- Bugs or tar or projectiles will deflect right off surface.
So my opinion is that FD acts like a quick carnauba and QS acts like a quick polymer or acrylic. So it's an individual preference on selection. I will use both products because I really like the slickness of QS and also lreally like the warm glow the FD adds to my carnauba.
Another note, I have been looking for years for a product which would squelch the squealing of my power windows rubbing against the gaskets and weatherstripping. QS seems to have done this today. We will see long term in the coming weeks.
Anyone else agree with my findings?
