Setec Astronomy said:If they are oxidized you will need to get them cleaned up first. I haven't used Poli-Seal, but I imagine it will work, just try not to get it built up in the slots/hinges/etc.
I think Opti-Seal would be great as the LSP as long as you can get it wiped into all the nooks and crannies. Foam applicator would seem to be best for that.

On older stuff I use a cleaner wax to shine it up a bit.
