pre- blackfire WD question

is there a "preferred" polish to use prior to using WD to promote adhesion? I am getting ready to open my bottle and try it soon.

I thought with the Klasse products they recommended Menenza polishes because they had no fillers?

any thoughts?

Most polishes use some type of oil as a lubricant (even most that claim to be water based). Some products use a very thick lubricant which gives them a very long working time, but this thick lubricant can also be very stubborn to remove completely by just wiping. Menzerna's SCR polishes are a good example of this. The oils quickly clog the microfiber clothes which prevents the product from being wiped away easily unless you frequently switch to a fresh cloth or use a chemical wipedown.

You are correct that Menzerna polishes contain no fillers such as silicone fluids or kalion clay, but the stubborn lubricants can act to fill very light defects such as micro marring or holograms.

Some polishes such as Meguiar's newest M105/M205 are very easy to wipe away because they don't have such stubborn oils (M205 is actually really cool because it has a moderate to long working time yet is effortless in wipe off).

As far as the best best polishes to use under Blackfire Wet Diamond both the Menzerna and Meguiar's lines work very well. Why? Because Wet Diamond will bond over just about anything, although I would avoid some heavy silicone or filler based polishes.

I have used M105/M205 and it bonded perfectly.

I used M83/M80 and again, it bonded perfectly.

I even tried it over D151 and SwirlX (which I'm convinced is the same product) and again no issues. Wet Diamond is IDIOT-PROOF, as evidence by the fact that I can use it without issue. ;)

I use Menzerna IP and follow with Blackfire Enhancing polishing before using the WD. Works great everytime and my wifes SUV looks like a mirror.
