Porsche 997TT

Beautiful car!! I can see why you upgraded to the TT from the S. I detailed a friend of mine's 997S and got to drive it around for a day, but was dissappointed with its power!!! I bet the 997TT is BEAST!!! The new 997 GT2 is speculating to come out soon. Any plans to upgrade to that one? jk lol :)

:LOLOL at first step....tell dealer not to touch the car!

Absolutely gorgeous finish, very deep and wet. :bow

Don't be quick to sell the S short. It is an amazing car. Yes, the TT has more power/torque but the S has a more direct feel, and in some ways handles better than the TT.

When I got the S I was coming from a modded E55 putting out almost 600HP and over 600lb/ft of torque. It took a few weeks to "get it" but I was blown away by how good the S was and how much of a complete package it is.

the only thing I'd upgrade to from this would be the F430 - I'd have to live in it though as my wife would definitely throw my *** out LOL!

Good gawd. Hands down my all time favorite car. :bow

CONGRATS on the purchase and nice work on the detail.

Nice. How come there are different exhaust tips in the last picture?

Im always surprised how observant people are lol. Maybe he took pics on seperate days and changed the tips/exhaust.

my dad just got a 2007 carrera 4s.....i tried sooo hard to try and get him to get the turbo but he just wouldnt budge, heard the turbo road just a little too rough (any comments) and he drives his porsche every day in the summer. I also told the dealer not to touch his car....but they did listen :-) alll swirled up first day he got it a month or so ago and i havent got to get the cyclo on it yet :-x... can you tell me what you think of the turbo? is it worth the 30k jump from the c4s? its 0-60 in like 3.5 right? UNREAL

Bingo! Good catch by spanos. The one pic was taken on a different day (note different location) before I changed out the exhaust.

Looks awesome!! :xyxthumbs , what kind of lens are you using with the Cannon?

It's actually the kit lens that came with the camera (18-55mm). The camera was in Av mode and not auto with the lens set to f8 I think. Setting/rising sun is also best. Still trying to get the hang of the different settings and best way to shoot. Sill have lots of work to do!

nice car.. damn u already have aftermarket exhaust on it? nice.. lol. I saw a ruf edition 997TT blasting down portion road the other day. Where exactly in LI are you located? I'm out by wading river/hamptons area.

Too bad your dad's dealer did not listen. I'd be  The TT rides no rougher than the C4S and with sports chrono you can change the ride characteristics of the car from pretty rough to surprisingly comfortable. I know many people who bought heavily optioned C4S' and by the time they were done were right up there price wise as a base TT. If you keep the C4S option list short than it is a pretty significant jump. Is it worth it? Can't answer that for anyone else.

The difference in price between my TT and '06 C2S that I traded was almost 60K. Is the TT 60K better? I'd say no but I wanted it and it makes me happy, so what the hell LOL!

Personally I would rather have a C2S than a 4 (and in some instances even a TT). The 2S is a much more direct, sporty, traditional porsche than the AWD cars. In some ways it is more fun to drive than the others. If you're going to be in a lot of bad weather or use all year round than a 4S is a good choice.

The TT has actually been criticized lately (unfairly in many cases IMHO) as being too soft, heavy, etc. and too "GT" as opposed to hard core sports car. That's why the GT3 exists. Also, the C2S is sooooo good.

The GT3 was not an option for me as it is j ust too hard core, especailly for the NY roads and I'm a sucker for power - also very easy to mod a TT into crazy power.

No car is perfect and neither is the TT. However, it is truly an everyday supercar. Is it the fastest? NO. Best handler? NO. Best on the track? NO. But, add up everything the TT does well and it's tough to beat. My car is fast as hell, has grip that defies physics and is full of high quality leather and Carbon fiber. Can take it to the track and hold my own against almost anything, drive it home, and then take my wife out to dinner in it. Not too many cars you can do that in.
