Megs #16- What a joke. #26 looks just as good, lasts just as long if not better and i can get it anywhere.



P21S/S100- Looks great, awsome slickness, easy to use........lasts about 8 hours. Not worth the price.



SG- It dont look that great at all. What make matters worse is it is such a PITA to apply, its never thin enough! Not worth the price.



Klasse AIO- Great AIO product, just not good enough to justify the price.

You should try diluting the SG 1:1 with distilled water, then mist a finishing pad and applying it via PC. If you put OPS for example as a base, you'll get amazing results. You'll remove it very easy.

Personally, I love both products. #16 is so hit or miss with people, mostly because the visual improvement is more subtle than #26, which noticably deepens the color. :nixweiss

I do too, but I do think many people like the "hard to get aspect" of #16

With Z-10 if you apply it too thick to the perf seats, I guess you would have that problem. Try hitting the non-perf area with your first pass of your applicator and then move onto the perf areas.

I know, I used to do that with Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Conditioner too since it was a similarly thicker cream product. With the growing popularity of ventilated seats, it might be a good idea if Sal came up with a more liquidy version of Z-10. :nixweiss



Y'all weren't kidding about how good Z-10 smells though!

I don't know. The smell of Z-10 is addicting but it's nothing to die for/rave about. The product works and that's all that matters to me. The smell is also gone a day after application.
 
I read all 14 pages of this (why am I at work today?), great thread.



Probably the worst detailing tool I've ever had is the Meguiars Velcro backing plate for the PC. Pads would constantly come off and shoot across the garage. I replaced it with the OEM backing pad from Porter Cable and it's stuck like glue.



Worst product would have to be 3m Light cut compound, nothing but cancerous dust and no results.
 
So far I've gotten pretty good results with everything I bought. Nothing spectacular, although I am really starting to like Z-10. I have not one new wrinkle/crack in my seats since I bought the car last Oct. Prime Strong is also great for removing water spot etching on windows.



I am getting a shipment of OCW, OPS, #34, AW and Natty's Blue today. I'll let you guys know I thnk.

Heh heh #2, people like Anthony O. can use OP and outperform most anybody, so it's not like OP isn't a good product in the right hands.
 
the meguiar's extractor doesn't work well at all!



OP hasn't been working out that well for me, but I'm sure it's just my technique. FWIW i still really like #83 and #80.



NXT is over ratted, but i still like #21...thats probably because i am weird.
 
Nattys Blue smells like bubblegum, #34 like a light grape smell, AW like coconuts, Poli-Seal like banana, and OCW smells fruity. I put some Nattys on my hand and now my hand is beading.

Products that I have used, and didn't like:



NXT Techwax - Way over-rated. Nice shine, but didn't last.



EO Nonowax spray - Completely disappointing product. Hard to use, no durability



Mothers Showtime QD - Worst QD I have ever used. Streaky, and didn't add anything to the look.



Lexol leather conditioner - I have mixed feeling on this one. Seats felt sticky. (would use it in a pinch)



NXT glass cleaner - Not even in the same league as Stoners.



Mothers Powerpolish - Couldn't figure this one out. Watery and slung like crazy. Didn't seem to do anything.

A few years back I bought a big DF concourse towel and a couple smalls

On the site it's stated as a special type of microfibre but to me it's just plain cotton

Didn't scratch the paint but it didn't absorb a damn thing including QD's and threads were coming off all the time



Only thing it's better than IMO is that stockinette crap that detailers used to use to remove polishes back in the 70's and 80's
 
Anything of DP I have used so far:



DP wheel glaze: has the consistancy of cottage cheese and was a pain to put on as well as to take off. no noticable difference of any kind with the product on.



DP Total interior cleaner: I guess it can clean a dash but thats about it. Nice banana smell but is junk to use on carpet.



DP Interior protectant: Doesn't even look like I put anything on the dash. Some like that, I don't.
