The new Camaro just looks like a fat ricer... :flame: The whole "bringing back the retro" look is failing in the Challenger and Camaro for my tastes. They just look like blown up matchbox cars with cheap body panels.

Both are bloated, over-stylized whales. As a kid I was all about Camaros, but you always outgrow childish things.:heh:

But I agree with Chad. Add a CTS-V (sedan, thank you) to the poll and there's your winner!

I have been impressed with the Caddy CTS since it was introduced, however the poll is about two remade "pony cars", not BMW eaters.

Offer me a M/B, an Audi, a BMW in the same size, etc and I'll take the CTS any day.

Less up keep, less expensive to keep it up and it runs like stink!!!!

I have owned all three of the kruatmobiles, they are fine, but to me, not as good in a few years as they try to make others believe.

Don't forget, he's a ricer now.... That Toyota ain't no Kraut! :rofl

Man, I feel like that time I walked into the biker bar in my tight black shorts and bicycle jersey. I still feel the bruises. Ohhhhh.

Yes, I believe so (solid rear). My vote is for the mustang for two reasons - one I really don't like the styling of the new camaros all that much (I think the mustang is a nicer reincarnation of the old lines) and more than anything, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sound that coems from the new 5.0 motors. Ford engineering has had that right for more than a few years. It is perfection.

I like both cars they both have their pros and cons but I prefer the Mustang. I had a 00 GT that I invested into drove it for 4 years until I started a family and when I can get another play car it will def be a Mustang.

Mustang through and through! Here are pictures of #2 and #3 (don't have #1 in digital form).

Right. Ford seems pretty invested in keeping them that way too. Simple and sturdy, but oh yeah...now and then, in the real world.... "hold on, gotta get busy"

Imagine if they would have originally made the Terminator with a solid rear????

Wonder if guys broke those IRS units when they upped the power

GM stuck a few 'vette IRS units under Caprices, so you can probably imagine the kind of projects I've thought about ;)

They were breaking left and right in both stock and modified applications. One of the only "weak links" these cars had in a drag race setting.

Yeah, I've heard of multiple people swapping out the IRS units for a solid 9" for drag racing purposes.

I'm a ford guy so it's obvious I'm going to go with the mustang. There are 3 in my family also ;) 85 fox rebuild project, my 05 gt, and now an 11 5.0. I've driven a camaro SS but never really got the chance to drive it hard or beat on it any but it seemed to have a ton of blind spots. My mom's 5.0 is a blast to drive. Ton's of torque everywhere compared to my 4.6 with bolt ons. She can hold her own with the 5.0's but any mods done to the 5.0 and I gotta drink from my bottle to keep up.

On another note my buddy has a black 10 SS with a cam and magnusun charger running around 650rwhp. That thing is a totally different animal!

Bless you my son!

Knowledge of history and quality makes you very special, not one who finds a "tie" is good just because some do not go beyond the mouths of their friends.

LOL!

Like a Harley, "heck, that is what everyone has and I can afford to pay $100.00 for piece of $2.00 chrome, cause it has an imprint of HD on it."

Isn't that special? Paid some big bucks for the car and then had to spend even bigger bucks to keep up with the old horse.

I'm going to have say mustang. The new camaros are just too oversized and heavy. The mustang is like a lotus in comparison. I believe it is almost 400 lbs lighter. That alone will keep it out performing the camaros for a long time, regardless of the power they put into them. Though the Camaro does LOOK really nice, I don't think it has the correct chassis to back up its good looks.
